Estuary fishing is goood for Mullet and Bream.

Estuary is good for Bream, Mullet and estuary Perch but this river is better known for it's Trout fishing.
Best results from wet fly or these baits: shrimp,crickets and worms. Wye River
On the south side of the Wye River Store.
Rising tide brings Garfish while you can hook Whiting and Snapper on the falling tide.
Estuary fishing in the mouth of the river brings Mullet and Bream.
Bait: Ask a local what is working at the time or go for peeled prawns on a number 8 - 10 hook. | |

Fish off the peer to catch what ever is going at the time. Ask the locals or the bait shop but usually good fishing is on the turn of the tide.
There are two boat ramps in an excellent boat harbour but ask about local coditions before launching.
Fishing insde the harbour can bring you Silver Trevally, Mackeral and other varieties.
The presence of seals or sting rays could mean poor fishing so bring the kids to watch them if they are around. |
